MP Sanjeev Arora Holds Meeting with Traffic Commissioner CP Chahal; Announces Grant of ₹10 Lakhs for Traffic CCTV Cameras

Ludhiana, 4th March 2025: Rajya Sabha Member Sanjeev Arora held a meeting with Ludhiana Police Commissioner Kuldeep Singh Chahal on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Arora discussed the issues related to the increasing traffic flow. He suggested measures for better traffic control and recommended the deployment of additional force in the traffic wing.
On this occasion, Arora announced a grant of ₹10 Lakhs from the MPLAD fund for the installation of additional CCTV cameras and road dividers in the city.
In addition, a request is being made to the State Pool for the deployment of additional force to manage traffic more effectively, with special attention to be given during school hours.
Ludhiana Police Commissioner stated that to improve traffic management, a specific time frame has been set for the movement of heavy vehicles within the city. The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, has been instructed to re-evaluate the most congested areas of the city and manage the traffic efficiently.
